Sort Tasks by Last Updated Status

Quick overview of sorting tasks by last updated status—what it does, why it's useful, and how to use it.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Keep track of your team's most recently updated tasks with our new sorting option. This feature automatically moves the most recently updated tickets to the top of their respective columns, making it easier to track active work.

How to Sort by Last Updated

On Mac: Press Shift+S
On Windows: Press Shift+S
Then select 'Last Updated' from the sorting options.

What This Does

  • Automatically sorts tasks based on their last update timestamp

  • Places the most recently modified tasks at the top of their columns

  • Disables manual sorting within columns when this view is active

  • Updates task positions in real-time as changes occur

Additional Filtering Options

You can combine this sorting with other powerful filtering options:

  1. Filter by Time Frame

    • See tasks that have been touched within specific time periods

    • Perfect for tracking recent activity

  2. Sort by Creation Date

    • Organize tasks based on when they were created

    • Useful for maintaining chronological order

Benefits

  • Instantly see which tasks your team has worked on most recently

  • Improve task tracking and team coordination

  • Maintain better visibility of active work

  • Reduce the chance of tasks being overlooked

Important Note

While using the Last Updated sort, manual sorting within columns is disabled. Task positions will only change when actual updates are made to the tickets.

This sorting method helps teams maintain clear visibility of their most active work items while ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
