Comment Thread Display Settings (Expand or Collapse Comments by Default)

The comment collapse setting in the sidebar controls the default visibility of comment threads in tasks.

Accessing the Sidebar

Click the gear icon in the lower right corner
Or press \ from anywhere in Hypertasks

Settings

Collapse Comments (Default: On)

Comments are collapsed by default
New/unread comments remain expanded
Reduces visual clutter
Shows task content more prominently

Expand Comments (Off)

All comments are expanded by default
Shows full conversation history immediately
Useful for detailed review of discussions

Keyboard Controls

Press O to toggle individual comment threads
Press Shift + O to toggle all comments in the current task
