Using the Calendar View in Hypertask

See your tasks on a calendar with week and month views. Navigate with G then C, switch views with M and W, and create tasks directly from any date.

Overview

The Calendar View lets you see all your tasks with due dates laid out on a calendar. Switch between week and month views, navigate with keyboard shortcuts, and create or open tasks directly from any date.

How to Open the Calendar

Press G then C to go to the Calendar View. You can also access it from the Hypertasks Command Center (HTC) by pressing Ctrl+K / Cmd+K and typing "Calendar".

Week and Month Views

The calendar has two display modes:

Keyboard Navigation

Navigate the calendar entirely with your keyboard:

Creating Tasks from the Calendar

You can create tasks directly from the calendar:

  1. Navigate to the date you want using the keyboard or click on a day
  2. Press C to create a new task
  3. The task will automatically have its due date set to the selected date

This is a fast way to plan your week — just navigate to each day and add tasks as you go.

Opening Tasks

Click on any task card in the calendar to open it, or navigate to it with J/K and press Enter. The task detail page opens just like it would from the board view.

Filtering the Calendar

Use the right sidebar to filter which tasks appear on the calendar:

You can also use Shift+F to open the full filter modal with advanced options like labels, priority, and date ranges — the same filtering you have on the Kanban board.
